• Strictly necessary. These support the Website and forms, authorization, verification of access to books and the library, security, storage of cookie banner choices and correct navigation between screens.
• Functional settings. These help remember the language and other available interface settings. Their use depends on the purpose of each setting and the available functionality.
• Analytics. These are used for visit and interface event statistics only after separate consent to analytics.
• Marketing. These may be used for marketing technologies only after separate consent to this category. Such consent does not subscribe the user to promotional emails.
• Payment and service technologies. These may be used by the selected available payment provider and other technical contractors to perform the particular function requested.

4. Purposes of use

Cookies and similar technologies are used for the following purposes:

• supporting the technical operation of the Website, routes, forms and buttons;
• email and one-time-code sign-in, access recovery and operation of the shared library;
• creating books, uploading selected photos and displaying generation status and output;
• saving the language, user settings and cookie banner choices;

• processing available payments, confirming the corresponding access and downloading available files;

5. User consent

Strictly necessary technologies are used for the Website functions requested by the user, authorization, storing choices and providing the Book. They do not depend on separate consent to analytics or marketing.

Analytics and marketing technologies are disabled by default and enabled only after the user makes the corresponding choice. The cookie banner allows the user to accept available optional categories, keep only necessary technologies or open detailed settings.

The choice can be changed using the cookie settings button available on the Website. Clearing site data in the browser removes the saved choice and may require signing in again.

6. Analytics

Google Analytics may be used on public pages. Google is not loaded before analytics consent. After consent, the service may receive technical visit information: the public page address, date and time, referral source, browser and device type, interface events and analytics identifiers.

Google Analytics is not connected on private account, library or book workflow routes. The child’s name and source photos, Book text, one-time codes and private links are not intended to be sent to web analytics.

Consent to analytics is not consent to marketing cookies. These categories are managed separately.

7. Third parties

Certain cookies or technical identifiers may be used by hosting, file storage, email infrastructure, security and content delivery providers, and by the selected available payment provider, including Robokassa if that method is available and selected.

Taleown does not control cookies on third-party websites reached through external links. The user should review those websites’ own documents.

8. Retention periods

The user’s saved analytics and marketing cookie choices remain valid for 180 days unless the user changes them or deletes site data earlier. This is the retention period for cookie choices, not for photos, books or the account.

The lifetime of individual technical and third-party cookies depends on their purpose. Session cookies usually expire when the session ends; persistent cookies may remain until their specified expiry, a settings change or deletion by the user.

9. Managing cookies

The user can manage cookies in several ways:

11. Final provisions

The Cookie Policy takes effect upon publication on the Website and applies until a new version is published.

The Operator may update the Policy when Website features, connected services, user settings or legal requirements change.
